Many colleges use something called a "ready sheet" - a report card-like document that they attach to your application packet. The ready sheet allows readers on the admissions committee to get a quick overview of your transcript.
This link from the (extremely amazing and informative) New York Times "The Choice" blog gives you a behind-the-scenes look at College of the Holy Cross's ready sheet.
This shows you just how important honors and AP coursework can be! It also shows how schools really take those SAT subject tests into consideration.
Notice the "Student Contact" section in the lower righthand corner. A good interview or visit might not get you in, but it sometimes can tip things in your favor if a committee is on the fence.
Admissions Advocates can help you prepare now to have the best ready sheet possible!
